The Vaillante Formula 1 1960 model was used at the end of the 1959 - 1960 season and the following season. It is the production model of the Vaillante Mystere. Two cars were made, one sporting the regular Vaillante Blue paint job, the other a blue and white livery. These colors are a reference to the car which it's pilot, Steve Warson, crashed earlier in the season, an American built Novi Europ. This model also is the first racecar Steve Warson pilots for Vaillante.

It is surpassed by the Vaillante Formula 1 1964.
